1.Can the cable bend?

The cable can easily be bent without breaking the signal because it is not polarized. Even folded, it is completely hidden under paint or wallpaper.

2.Can the cable be crushed?

Yes, the cable can withstand up to 900kg of pressure per cm2.

3.How do you glue the cable?

The cable can be glued with double-sided adhesives supplied, with glue in Spray (recommended) or Glue.

 

4.Can the cable be cut?

Yes, Magic Elek is the only adjustable cable that can be installed without tools. Simply cut it to the desired length with scissors.

 

5.Do I need tools to install the connectors?

All you need is a screwdriver, included in Magic Elek pack, and a pair of scissors, not included.

 

6.What happens if you pierce the powered cable?

The circuit breaker in the house cuts off the power. The cable has two current circuits, it would be necessary to manage to pierce both circuits at the same time to produce an electric shock, which is totally impossible, so using this cable is safe.

 

7.Recommendation for use :

For light fixtures and small household appliances (mono max 16A), the cable has 2 current lines without the earth line, but works for appliances with an earth connection: just change the supplied female end-piece.

8.What is the life span of the product?

It is a mechanical product without electronics, so the cable is designed for more than 100 years of use.

 

9.Can we buy more cables or connectors?

11.Is the cable waterproof ?

Yes, which is why the cable can be under paint, plaster, tile adhesive, mortar, etc.

12.Is it possible to touch the cable when the current is flowing?

Yes, the cable does not heat up, so it is safe to touch it; the cable is protected by a flat PVC which replaces the traditional sheathing.

13.Can the cable catch fire?

No, the raw material of the cable cannot catch fire. The cable is designed to be used in 16A single-phase maximum, as recommended by French regulations. The cable is prohibited

in three-phase, and the connectors are not compatible with three-phase. In an exceptional case of overvoltage, the cable may ripple, heat up and melt, but it cannot catch fire.
